Pulverized Coal fired Power Station with 165 MWel / 50 Hz
History
Fuel: The power station originally was designed to fire local lignite of low quality. Due to the uneconomic coal production the unit was converted in 1994-1995 to burn import coal by modifying the firing system. The plant can be easily converted back to lignite firing during relocation. The Unit
The unit was designed to fire local low quality lignite. After the closure of the lignite mining in 1993, the combustion plant of the Unit2 was converted with big technical expenditure for the combustion of the main fuel hard coal. It can be easily rebuilt to lignite firing as it was designed originally.
In summer 2005 the existing catalyst system was enlarged by 3 separate layers of catalysts. From 2006 till 2009 the whole process control system was remade, and the control room of the power plant was fully computerized. Within the framework of the adaptation to the integrated concept of the ICCP-guidelines and to the waste combustion ordinance (AVV) two new limit values for NOx, SO2, CO and dust were determined for the power plant.
